5Good Practical Information for the Value Engineering Test  Feb 27, 2006 By Nemorino
This book is full of practical applications of value engineering, including a number of case studies. I found the book very valuable in preparing me for the Value Methodology Practionier (VMP) test that is a part of becoming certified through S.A.V.E. (Society for the Advancement of Value Engineer). Their are other requirements to becoming certified by S.A.V.E. but this book covered a lot of the practical applications necessary. The book also goes through the detailed steps in the value enginnering methodology which is very helpful in understanding how it can be used in everyday applications.

5Value Engineering: Practical Applications...for Design, Construction, Maintenance and Operations (RSMeans)  Sep 29, 2011 By rm102723
I'm very happy with this purchase, the book is very clear and easy to understand..I'm taking and online class, which practically I'm my own tutor, and the book is helping me a lot, other important view is, inside the back cover of the book is attached a CD with all tables and forms that someone had to use while is developing a Value Engineering methodology.
I'm very pleased with my acquisition!

2To practical, a lot of nonsens  Jan 05, 2006 By Barry Tas "Barry"
I purchased it since I would like to understand the background of the topic in-depth. I was rather disappointed about the academic level of the book. Too American, which in my view is, a lot of practical paper-filling cases but lack of real theory.

Not really interesting therefore for my knowledge building
