2Could be muuuuch better.  Oct 21, 2010 By Lucas
I picked up this text post-college, where I studied mechanical engineering. I figured it would give me more specific insight into a field in which I have some itnerest.

The first three chapters are more or less introductory material in which I have a solid foundation. There are some spelling errors. The sample problems lack units, so even if there are errors in them, the errors are near impossible to identify. I haven't yet read any other texts in this field, but I know that this is not a good attempt at conveying the information.

PASS.

3Not a keeper  Oct 16, 2009 By Software Sapien "Phil"
I only made it through a couple chapters because I found several errors. There were spelling errors and problem example errors that were so obvious that it worried me about the rest of the book. The formulas also don't always use regular thermodynamic notation and they kept reusing the same letters for different things on the following examples so it got confusing to follow. I couldn't find an errata document for the book so that didn't help either.
I have a degree in Aeronautical Engineering so I could say that the part I was already familiar with was well written. In general the text clearly explained the material. Unfortunately, I really need the examples to be correct and easy to follow to ensure that I correctly grasped the new concepts so it's time for me to find another book.

1It wasn't as expected  Oct 30, 2009 By H. Hammoudah
It was not as expected. I bought to help me to prepare in my PE exam but it was not helpful. I wish if I can return it or sell it.
