In the section on landscape design, students will learn the valuable graphic skills needed to present ideas on paper. Chapters dedicated to landscape contracting expertly address the office and field skills professionals need to bring the landscape project to fruition. Students will be well-educated in critical landscaping skills thanks to complete coverage of such areas as planting, lawn installation, irrigation and interior plantscapes. They also will be well prepared to succeed as landscapers due, in great part, to discussions relating to the business side of the profession. Pricing, contractual agreements, technology use and human resource issues are addressed in considerable detail. The human resource component of the business is examined from both sides of the issue, including the training needed by someone desiring a career in the business, as well as advice on how a company can effectively recruit and retain skilled employees. | | | |

By cliffjam got this for landscape design class.. this is the 'black & white ' edition so to speak. The next edition up' is better. It's the same book content wise, but there are updated figs. in color and the diagrams are clearer in the seventh ed.
