An Enlightening Book with C! Aug 03, 2000 The book presents many ready-to-use problem solving methodologies using the C language. This is a great book for those who would like to write the classical engineering or scientific applications.

A disappointment Jan 29, 2001 What should have been a definitive work on classical C programming is seriously flawed by the presence of dozens and dozens of errors. The basic idea is excellent: that is, to relate the learning of C to real life engineering applications. A good editor could have made this an excellent text.

Great Book! Helps a LOT! Sep 30, 2011
By Nate This book is a great book. I had to get this book for an engineering class I am currently taking, and so far this book has been great. Provides many examples and solutions. It makes it easy to learn C coding. Coding is not always easy but this book is just one more thing to make it more simple. I recommend this book! Even if it is not a recent book, it still works. C coding does not change much, so modern books you pay more for might not be worth your extra $$$. Great useful book!

Excellent Book for Engineers Oct 30, 2008
By Todd B. Anderson Over the past 10 years, I have recommended this book to engineers who are trying to learn C and apply it to control situations. I learned "embedded C" from this book.
Especially interesting to me were some "out of the box" concepts that Dr. Etter introduces, such as structure charts in chapter 4.
The methodology for problem solving is another example - a concept that engineers can grasp.
Her notes on Style and Debugging are tremendous!
I go back to this book often when I am working with C code.

Got What I Needed Feb 12, 2010
By D. Wang Although the front cover was a bit ripped and everything, the insides were still good. This book was required for a C-programming class that I am currently taking in college. Content-wise, it is pretty easy to understand. They give you example programs throughout the book so it is easy to grasp the topic at hand.
