5Useful for many fields and levels. It's quite good!  Oct 21, 2000 By Justo S.
I bought this manual in high school (math, physics) and I have used it in the university (almost the whole manual) and even in the graduate school (for quick reference).

It is well organized, the concrete explanations are useful and you get you formula or data quickly, everywhere (easy to carry).

I bought another for my brother when he started studying engineering. I think it's indispensable.

5A classic  May 06, 2004 By Gavin Scott
This is a wonderful and unique little book that packs a lot of information into a pocket-sized hardbound volume.

The construction of the book is of the highest quality, something that's rare in this age of disposable, fluff-filled, high-ego publishing. It feels good and it's very satisfying as a physical object. Definitely something you'll keep forever or pass down to someone else.

The content is quite dense and concise, exactly what you want in a portable work like this.

This little book belongs in the library (or the pocket) of anyone with an interest in engineering, and some of the mathematical sections have an even wider appeal.

4A good reference to take on the road.  Dec 01, 1998 By Jonathan Knauth (jknauth@borg.com)
This book is a good general reference for the technical professional who travels. A good variety of formulas and commonly referenced data makes this useful to someone who has experience solving problems, but just forgot the formula. There is little explaination of the subject matter, so it has limited use to the uninitiated. Still, the unit conversions, area formulas and good coverage of mathematics makes it valuable to the person who only occasionally has to make simple calculations. It also should sufficiently intimidate anyone who might think that solving engineering problems is fun and easy. The numerous, well scattered blank pages are useful for writing in your own formulas or notes, and the small size assures that you will take this one with you. I am buying a second because my brother (a technical salesman) ran off with mine.

5Excellent!!  Jan 31, 2004
This book I the best reference you can buy. It is well worth the money. I have used this book for all my classes in undergrad, and even on the job site for quick reference. Well done!!

54 years of college between the covers  May 23, 2007 By Drew Kissinger
The fun thing about this book is that it has everthing you learned (or should have learned) getting your Engineering degree. It's all there! It usually takes some time to sort thru what all the vaiables mean, and often you have to flip between look up tables, but it is so charming to find EVERYTHING in one spot in a book so small you can carry it in your front pocket.
