2Interesting but not a shingle application manual.  Oct 15, 2007 By Rusty
This was 1 of 4 roof texts I ordered through Amazon to prime my brain for installing shingles to my garage roof. Of the 4 texts, this was the least helpful. It covers a lot of things but nothing in great detail and it seems to be really out-of-date.

I've always found that multiple texts are required to perform any task that is new to me. I've repaired televisions, rebuilt automobiles, performed carpentry ... and now roofing ... by immersing myself in multiple texts.

Of the 4 texts I got to prep for my roofing project, this "Complete Roofing Handbook" is one that I wish I hadn't bought. I wish I had chosen something else. It just didn't help me much with shingle application to my hip-style roof.
